Who we are
This website is run by Miri Lounge. We are the data controller for the personal information you give us through this website. We are based in Ealing.
You can contact us by phone on 020 3084 2577.
What we collect
When you request a quote we collect the details you enter in the form:
- your name, phone number and email address
- your postcode
- your answers about the job
- any photos or files you choose to upload
If you call, email or message us (including on WhatsApp), we keep the details you share with us in those conversations.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out the work.
Under UK data protection law our lawful basis is that this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract. Where we keep a record of an enquiry that does not go ahead, we rely on our legitimate interests in running our business and answering questions about past enquiries.
We do not use your information for marketing, add you to mailing lists or make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with the service providers we need to run this website and reply to you:
- Our website hosting and database providers, who store the details you send us securely on our behalf.
- Our email delivery provider, which sends your quote request to us.
- Google, which provides the Google reviews shown on this website. Google may receive your device's IP address when those reviews and reviewer photos load.
- WhatsApp (Meta), but only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp. Your messages are then handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
We never sell your information. Our providers may only use it to provide their service to us. Where a provider stores data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK law.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests for up to 2 years and then delete them. If you become a customer, we keep the records we need for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax purposes, usually 6 years after the end of the financial year in which the work took place.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- object to us using your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information
- ask for your information in a portable format
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent.
Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to keep the website secure and working properly. These cookies do not track you and are allowed without consent under UK law.
